# LinuxCNC Submodule Local Changes

|
|
The root repository pins the `linuxcnc` submodule at
|
|
`239dcf4284762ad7e9c65d390bc5524d855c2f8e`.
|
|
|
|
Local source-oracle and simulation configuration changes that cannot be
|
|
represented by the unchanged submodule pointer are archived in
|
|
`patches/linuxcnc-working-tree.patch`.
|
|
|
|
From the repository root, restore them to a clean submodule checkout with:
|
|
|
|
```sh
|
|
git submodule update --init linuxcnc
|
|
git -C linuxcnc apply ../patches/linuxcnc-working-tree.patch
|
|
```
|
|
|
|
The patch includes tracked modifications and the untracked configuration files
|
|
present when the root project was saved.
|
