# Selected Assembly joint integration
Batch: `8d028b2604665ddf9b329d91`
Scope: Angle, Ball, Belt, and Cylindrical desktop creation commands.
Native creation now returns the created joint as the document selection. The
Assembly adapter validates that this selection names the returned joint in the
request document before its existing response handler updates the mounted Web
shell through the dispatcher's selection callback. Failed native transactions
do not return a successful selection. Joint construction, connectors, properties,
solving, recompute, and transaction handling remain native.
The existing React JSON command input also accepts `action: "preview"` for these
four commands through the same dispatcher, facade, and Worker route. Native
preview constructs and solves the joint in a document transaction, serializes
the resulting properties and component placements, and aborts the transaction.
Preview returns no persistent joint object or selection; the adapter preserves
the current selection. `accept` continues to commit the native transaction.
Remaining boundaries:
- A dedicated interactive task panel and task cancellation remain unavailable.
Preview is a single request with transaction rollback, not a retained task.
- Native component placements are returned, but this change does not add a
geometry viewport update or claim visual verification of solved components.
- Build, resource synchronization, and runtime business acceptance belong to the
outer pipeline. This edit is not acceptance evidence for any selected command.
- Preview rollback and subsequent acceptance require runtime verification by
the outer pipeline; no build or validation was run in this continuation.
