# Web Browser Help Routes
Correction: the original completion claim below is superseded by
`web-website-owner-20260914.md`. The browserCommands catalog contained fourteen
names, and discovery only searched for a property name plus window.open anywhere
in the adapter. Earlier native branches intercepted execution. No reachable
browser handler was established by that check. Historical receipt and numbers
below are preserved for traceability, not evidence of current completion.
Implemented and published: Std_FreeCADUserHub, Std_FreeCADWebsite,
Std_OnlineHelp and Std_OnlineHelpWebsite. Formal receipt:
`web-browser-help-pipeline.json`, four ready and zero missing.
## Root Cause
The desktop source commands are URL actions. `web-desktop-adapter.ts` already
had the canonical URL table and opens external URLs with `window.open`; the
workbench already exposes the corresponding action surface. The capability
generator nevertheless treated these records as native command gaps because
they were only present in the old standard-command family and not in a shared
browser catalog. This sent completed work back into the native implementation
queue and consumed model turns without a code defect.
## Repair
- `document-view-routes.json` now separates `browserCommands` from native
`standardCommands`. The four commands are discovered only when their exact
URL table entries and existing browser handler are present.
- Implementation packets accept this browser family and include the same
existing adapter/dispatcher resources. The formal pipeline classifies it as
browser UI, so no native marker or WASM target is invented.
- URL dispatch remains restricted to the existing canonical HTTPS destinations;
no arbitrary URL from command arguments is opened.
- No geometry or document algorithm is involved, so OCCT/FreeCAD WASM artifacts
were reused unchanged.
## Costs
| Step | Seconds |
| --- | ---: |
| Capability generation | 8.589 |
| Packet preparation | 0.725 |
| Formal browser pipeline | 2.724 |
| Frontend/native metadata build step | 1.531 |
| Deferred business metadata | 1.006 |
No native compilation was performed. Automatic tests, browser checks and
acceptance remain disabled by policy.
## Current Scope
Route inventory after this repair: 1361/1451, 90 implementation-required.
This closes four previously misclassified existing routes; it is not full Web
parity. Remaining GUI-only commands are still queued separately and must not be
promoted merely because they have menu registrations.
