# ReverseEngineering build repair
Batch: `412be33d86b5291b70f03ddd`
Selected business: `ReverseEngineering:reverseengineering.createRecompute`.
The reported compilation failure in
`freecad-source/src/WebAssembly/FreeCADCoreProbe/ReverseEngineeringRuntimeProbe.cpp`
used `isNull()` and `isValid()` on an OCCT `TopoDS_Shape` during restored-curve
validation. The check now uses `IsNull()` and `BRepCheck_Analyzer::IsValid()`
with its explicit header. Missing or invalid restored geometry still fails;
native length and object-count checks remain in place.
Build, artifact synchronization, and business acceptance are pending and owned
by the outer pipeline. No business pass is claimed by this edit. The affected
target is `FreeCADWebReverseEngineeringRuntimeProbe` in
`freecad-source/build-web/configure`; the selected case entry remains
`tools/reverseengineering-business-cases.mjs`.
Remaining boundaries: the selected contract does not certify browser document
synchronization or surface fitting. This compilation repair does not establish
save/reopen business acceptance or a single shared geometry runtime.
