# Points PLY filesystem export

Selected business: `business-format:Points:import:.ply`
|
|
|
|
The first reported failure occurs at `tools/points-business-cases.mjs:123`,
|
|
before native import: the loaded module does not expose `FS.writeFile`.
|
|
`FreeCADWebPointsRuntimeProbe` exported only `ccall`. Its CMake target now
|
|
also exports Emscripten `FS`, allowing supplied PLY bytes to be staged in
|
|
the filesystem used by the existing native Points import route.
|
|
|
|
The shared loader, native import implementation, and existing coordinate,
|
|
document preservation, FCStd reopen, error recovery, and cleanup assertions
|
|
are reused without changes.
|
|
|
|
Remaining boundary: the outer pipeline must incrementally build and sync
|
|
`FreeCADWebPointsRuntimeProbe` from `freecad-source/build-web/configure`,
|
|
then run the selected PLY business case. No build, sync, or runtime acceptance
|
|
was performed in this edit-only batch. PLY business acceptance remains pending;
|
|
this source fix is not evidence of successful import or browser file upload.
