# PartDesign Helix/Loft exception handling repair
Batch: `8e4110e25b671c99f6607980`.
The supplied evidence `business-evidence/f304d04b9b1a233974f24b83-20260910T171942147280.json` records both selected additive commands failing at their first feature recompute with `No base set, no sketch support either`. Requests reach the native document workflow through the existing desktop adapter and Worker.
Desktop `FeatureHelix.cpp` and `FeatureLoft.cpp` catch `Base::Exception` from `getBaseTopoShape()` and proceed with an empty base to create the first solid. The Web CMake source exception list omitted these files. Added both to the existing `FREECAD_WEB`-only `-fexceptions` source options, preserving native geometry, document transactions and desktop behavior. No application routing or geometry substitute is needed for this failure.
Validation boundary: source branches and CMake options inspected; no build, artifact sync or business acceptance run in this editing turn, as the outer pipeline owns those stages. Incrementally rebuild `FreeCADWebPartDesignRuntimeProbe`, sync its matching artifacts, and first run the existing AdditiveHelix/AdditiveLoft business cases. Their geometry edits, undo/redo, invalid-link rollback, FCStd reopen and continued editing assertions remain unchanged. Both IDs remain unaccepted until those native cases pass; this note is not business evidence.
