# Material desktop batch 48e4748f9191dd44e8ecb95c
Edits only; no builds, tests, browser validation, or acceptance runs were performed.
Material_Edit now retains native material edits for listing and reopening during
the worker lifetime. Export still uses Materials::Material::save, and the existing
Web adapter persists the resulting FCMat file in browser storage. Restoring those
files into the material library after worker restart remains unconnected.
The adapter translates task read/accept actions to the native list/inspect/apply
actions. Empty inspector selection returns an empty object list, allowing the
inspection task to open before selection.
Materials_InspectAppearance still requires a GUI ViewProvider bridge for selected
objects; the native workflow reports this boundary rather than substituting
material-definition values for displayed appearance.
Materials_MigrateToExternal uses the native managers when BUILD_MATERIAL_EXTERNAL
is enabled. Builds without that manager report external_material_unavailable.
External connection availability and migration completion are not established by
these edits. Material_Edit, Materials_InspectMaterial, and
Materials_MigrateToExternal now have quoted command registrations and explicit
executeDocumentCommand calls into the native workflow. Route generation belongs
to the outer pipeline. Materials_InspectAppearance remains unregistered as
implemented until the selected object's actual ViewProvider properties can be
read through the Web document owner. Next work is that ViewProvider bridge and
restoring saved FCMat files into the native library after worker restart.
