M16-GAP-00026 Status

status: done task: Volume data-block LOCAL_EXACT slice updated: 2026-08-20 America/New_York

scope: Blender 5.2 Volume resource observability through bounded non-mesh Scene IR fields: source path, geometry status and volume display/render properties.

evidence:

  • tools/web/generated/M16-GAP-00026.py deterministically creates volume:WebGapVolume with project-relative OpenVDB path, density 2.5, nearest interpolation and step size 0.125.
  • Desktop and WASM reports match exactly; save/reopen is stable and malformed Blend input leaves Main unchanged.
  • Existing Volume non-mesh reader path provides the bounded resource fields; no broader volume grid or rendering behavior was added.
  • Generator, desktop checker and Web checker exited 0.

artifacts: tests/golden/M16-GAP-00026/manifest.json contains SHA-256 for the parent manifest, fixture, generator, desktop/Web checkers, reader/protocol/runtime and both reports.

knownRisk: This closes only bounded datablock:Volume metadata. OpenVDB loading, grids and volume rendering remain separate tasks.

rollback: remove this task's fixture, generator, checker, reports, manifest, status and context; restore M16-GAP-00025 as queue tail.
