BIM Image Plane Build Repair
Status: the current BIM native/frontend changes were compiled and published; user validation remains deferred. This is not full BIM or project completion.
The outer batch had connected Image Plane browser input: file bytes, length and
base point are passed to the existing native helper, which creates the real
Image::ImagePlane and returns through the existing document/FCStd chain. The
first incremental C++ build exposed a real type error in the adjacent BIM
desktop dispatch repair: runGeometryValueScript accepts const char*, while
the assembled commandScript is a std::string. The call now uses
commandScript.c_str(). No geometry or image algorithm was rewritten.
| Step | Seconds | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Link closure preflight | <1 | no missing archives, runtime and WASM present |
| First BIM compile attempt | 5.464 | failed at the exact C++ type error |
BIM rebuild after .c_str() repair |
43.641 | exit 0, native runtime linked |
| Native asset synchronization | 6.914 | four artifacts copied, manifest updated |
| Fast frontend build | 8.004 | exit 0, 2245 modules transformed |
Existing OCCT/FreeCAD WASM dependencies were reused. No tests, acceptance, browser checks or performance benchmarks were run. The failed first attempt is retained as diagnostic evidence; it is not replayed.
Remaining BIM scope is still explicit: EmptyTrash, Extrude, Fuse and other selected panel/IFC workflows require their own native semantics and routing; static markers alone are not completion. The scheduler remains responsible for the next cooled batch.
