# FreeCAD Web workspace snapshot
## Latest Status: 2026-09-16
Real IFC2X3/IFC4 import is now linked into the Part WASM owner through the
import-only `IfcOpenShellNative` binding. Native parsing, browser geometry,
IFC4 property sets, error preservation and FCStd persistence were tested.
See `docs/current/user-tests-20260915/IFC-IMPORT-REPAIR-20260916.md`.
The cumulative manual results are 21/21, not a full 1452-command certification.
Full BIM authoring, IFC export and IFC4X3 remain outside this completed scope.
The building fixture took about 349 seconds; optimization is authorized but has
not yet been implemented. This snapshot preserves that next task explicitly.
Dependency source and archives are now durable under
`freecad-source/build-web/ifcopenshell-native/` locally, excluded from Git as build
dependencies. Source provenance, hashes, build script and license notices are
included. The earlier continuation notes below are historical, not current
completion status.
This snapshot preserves the working layout: `freecad-source/` contains desktop
sources and native Web adapters, `web/` the React/Three.js application, `tools/`
the build and test orchestration, and `docs/` the implementation and user-test
